OUR
STORY

Today's Child believes in the uniqueness, worth, and potential of every child. We strongly believe that all children have the capability to achieve their full potential in all aspects of their development.

OUR HISTORY.

Today's Child was created by a team of social workers and childcare educators with over 20 years of experience working with children, families, and vulnerable people in multidisciplinary roles, including early childhood education, managing childcare centres, child protection, child development, and family support. The founders of Today's Child, Tammy McKee and Alison Ewington, are qualified educators and social workers with extensive experience in running training related to children, families, and community welfare.

OUR PHILOSOPHY.

Today's child is based on research that indicates that a child's growth is developmental and unique in terms of life experiences, developmental readiness, and cultural heritage. Children benefit from adults who encourage and support the child's physical, social, emotional, language, and cognitive development in a safe and nurturing environment, which is conducive to their well-being.

OUR VALUES.

We value the village! Every child deserves adults who are available, understanding, compassionate, and offer them the safety and security they need to develop healthy attachments, self-confidence, and the ability to thrive in their ever-changing world. Parents, nannies, grandparents, childhood educators, and caregivers will benefit from the knowledge found in each of Today's Child courses.

We believe in and advocate for social justice and empowerment for all people.
